FAQs
What is an escape room?
An escape room is an immersive experience focused on teamwork and puzzle solving. Participants will play a game that involves a series of puzzles as they work to accomplish a thematic goal before the time runs out!
What can you expect from the product?
Our products range from DIY (do-it yourself) pre-built rooms to custom created and run experiences. We typically run events where we fully transform the room and then host students through the room for up to 1.5 hours at a time.
Do we have to live within the Colorado Springs area to participate?
No! While we do live in the area and schools within this region are easier for us to access and run in-person, we would love to expand. We are happy to travel for an event. Please just contact us and we can discuss a solution to best fit your needs!
What is the cost?
The cost is variable, depending on the experience, props, prep-time, and what all is involved. For most events, such as birthday parties, we try to stay around $500 - $700.
What is the difference in the experiences?
Each experience is unique and set to a specific theme! Clues can range in difficulty and age-appropriateness. For classroom experiences, education may be the focus with grade-level standards driving the clues, while for a party, entertainment is forefront with more thematic elements.
What is Drama Club?
Before we started Elementary Escapes, we used to host the drama club at the school we worked for. As we do not all work at that school anymore, we have decided to still run it through our business. At this time, Drama Club is limited to Woodmen-Roberts students from 3rd-7th grade, but could expand in future years.
Is this only for elementary schools?
No! While we began our experiences for elementary-aged students, these escape rooms can be designed and adapted for any age. We can plan events for elementary, middle, and high school. However, we can and have also done events for adults, clubs, teambuilding, and more!
What amount of participants can you have?
This is flexible! Rooms need a minimum of 3-4 people. For birthday parties, no more than 10, with 6-8 being ideal. For classroom experiences, we know there may be close to 100 students in a grade, however, to run the room successfully we would suggest groups of around 12-15 (no more than 20). We can run the same room multiple times in a row to accommodate larger groups and keep groups smaller. We find these grouping sizes are conducive to success and communication!
